Moving Day
Yesterday was intense, man. Intense!
Not only did the circa-1921 entry of the Carriage House get traded for the large window but furniture was moved around and about.

Last year…I think…I purchased a 1920s bedroom set for the SW bedroom of the Carriage House. It has, until yesterday, sat in the living room. But now? SQUEE!!!!!!!!

This year I purchased two narrow brass beds for the sunporch of the Carriage House. And they are now IN the room!

Last year some fabulous furniture was donated to the Carriage House by Wendy and Mark. The set has, until yesterday, sat in the living room. But now? Thanks to the Young Ones! SQUEE!!!!!!!! The set is in the first-floor Secret Bedroom.

Squee!!!!!!!! The late 1880s set is…yes…at odds with the Mission-style 1920s interior of the Carriage House but there was no way I would say no to gorgeous marble-topped furniture being donated.

The set is missing the bed so I will…me being, well, me…order a ‘hipster’ headboard kinda maybe sorta something like this.

Gorgeous! Are you going to move in? or maybe use it as a airbnb?
Ah, Youth! Knees! Shoulders! Backs! When my international students return for a visit, they know to expect déménagements!
The 1920’s bedroom set looks great in the SW bedroom. And the marble top dresser & commode is, like you said fabulous. I know you like to juxtapose things, but maybe the hipster headboard is too much of a difference. But you be you, I know you will enjoy something like that. It’s starting to look like a home. Decorating the carriage house is something to look forward to in between the grueling work on the outside.
Thank you, JP and Brock, Wendy and Mark. Wheeeee!
I love the idea of an upholstered modern bed! There’s a beauty on Fayetteville Craigslist.
