My First Shower!
Today, I began gutting the you-know-Norman-Bates-lived-here studio apartment.
I tore out the sheetrock on the south wall, and the insulation behind. And I tore down the sheetrock on much of the ceiling, and its insulation.
It was all profoundly dirty and sweaty but satisfying. NOTE: Yes, I wore protective gear.
When I finished for the day a thought occurred to me: I had a brand new cleaning option available!
So, for the very first time since owning the Cross House since 2014, I took a shower! It was FABULOUS!
Luckily, I had a clean shirt on hand so, after toweling dry, I was reasonably presentable. And I felt a billion times better.
Ross happy.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time to start keeping a change of clothes at the Cross House. Maybe right in the bathroom space itself. It won’t be that annoying to move a gym bag around while you work and just think how satisfying it will be to know that after whatever you’re doing, you can go take a shower and change into fresh, clean clothes?
BTW, where do you put the soap and shampoo in that shower? I built little cubbies into mine when I remodeled.

That’s a great milestone!
So glad you’re feeling better and back to work. I’ve missed your almost daily blogs. Having a place to shower is a luxury when doing dirty work, or even just to cool off when the heat gets unbearable.
Hooray, a functional (and good-looking) shower!
Yeah! What did you sing while in the shower?! 🙂
Well, if he’s going to sing period to the house it would be:
I’ve been working on the Railroad
The sidewalks of New York
Sipping cider through a straw
America, the Beautiful
The Band played on
The Mountains of Mourne
My Gal is a High-born lady
They’ll be a hot time in the old town tonight
Hallelujah, I’m a bum
Asleep in the deep
On the banks of the Wabash, far away
My Old New Hampshire Home
When you were Sweet Sixteen
Who threw the overalls in Mrs Murphy’s chowder?
Hello! Ma Baby
Keep on the Sunny Side
A bird in a gilded cage
That first shower must have felt wonderful, many more to come. haha
