This afternoon, they learned that humans can transmit Covid-19 to cats.
Tonight…they plot against me.

Wear gloves when doing cat care such as filling & emptying water bowls, meals & any litter boxes.

Where is dinner?
*Fortunately, at this point they think that it is not lethal for cats, and as Grandmere Louise states above, they doubt that people can catch it from infected cats. Indoor cats could only get it from those people or animals who come in your house. Most breeders of purebred cats require those who buy their kittens to sign an agreement not to let their cats run free outside.
*My hope is that the biggest risk for or from your cats, Ross, is that you might have to quarantine any future new friends that appear, the way they seem to do in your life, from your current ones, who you know have not been exposed, until the new guys test negative. In this crazy world, a test by mail for Covid in pets will probably come sooner than one for people because it might not have to pass FDA regulations.
*Another hope is that people will cherish all of their pets more and take better care of them.
*I would also like to think that we all will cherish the people in our lives more too.

I leaned over with laughter looking at their eyes. Long, deep, silent stare. Looking for dinner, love, or maybe they are praying for you. They certainly have presence. Extreme self-assurance.
One can tell they are well loved.
