Rescuing Beauty
My online vintage lighting store.
I was looking at an early all-electric ceiling pendant on eBay, debating if I should bid on it. It was very nice but I worried that I did not have the right shades for it.
Reading the listing I was suddenly horrified. The seller was willing to part the fixture out. “If you want just the sockets let me know.”
Yep, I was horrified. And I clicked on the Buy It Now button, STAT.

I so need this in my life !!
Now this is a real beauty. And to think some ass was going to part it out!
Good score. I must have missed that listing as I would have done the same!!
It would look great in my house.
SO glad you saved this gorgeous fixture from the Neanderthals who would have destroyed it! Those shades look like they were original to the piece, and the total effect is just wonderful.
amazing how the shades made it all work. beautiful piece!
Thanks for saving this beautiful fixture. The seller reminds me of people who cut up old books because they can make more money selling the individual illustrations. I’ve just about had enough of this wretched planet and its inhabitants… beam me up!
It should be illegal to cut up books!
Beam them up!
This beautiful fixture looks so fine and how great it was for you to save it. The shades are perfect and nobody can deny that. My only question is which room is going to be this lovely baby’s home?
Those acorn pulls are very cool. I’ve never seen any quite like it.
Just gorgeous. I have one similar, but with only 2 arms. The extra 2 arms make all the difference. It will look great in the Cross House.
