Some admittedly unscientific analysis – while it’s possible for voters to give a politician a positive approval rating, and not vote for them, I maintain that the same is not true of the reverse. If you disapprove of a politician, I guarantee you that you won’t vote for them. So… Trump’s approval rating right now is 44%, give or take. Third party voters are 2%, give or take. That leaves 54% of the vote for Biden. So in real number terms – the vote projection for this election is 150 million plus votes. 44% of 150 = 66 million. 2% = 3 million. Add ’em up = 69 million 150 – 69 = 81 million votes for Joe Biden.

That works when number of people voting is proportional to the numbers of people polled. So many people don’t vote in this country…for reasons I cannot fathom…

Cannot fathom — aside from the very real disenfranchisement, various kinds of “poll taxes,” voter intimidation, and other voter suppression methods…

If you’re politically engaged enough to take part in a poll, you’re gonna vote.

And anyway, that doesn’t alter the fact that 54% of the people, it doesn’t matter if it’s 160 or 160 million don’t approve of Trump.
