Today, in conservative Kansas, We The People resoundingly voted NO to deny all women the freedom to choose what is right for them.

And that sound you hear?

That is Republican operatives, across the land, shitting bricks.

Ross VERY happy.

I don’t think the Republicans realize what they’ve unleashed.

I just read that, Ross, and I must say I am both amazed and owe you an apology. The Republicans had the deck stacked so high against this I am truly astounded that Kansas has managed to protect women’s rights. It really does speak volumes about Kansas and Midwest Conservatives. You can be conservative, even Republican and still value a woman’s right to sovereignty over her own body and privacy to make her own decisions.

Sadly, I doubt this is going to be the end of it. TPTB usually do this over and over again until they get their way. So look out for shortly some other draconian bill stripping women of their rights in the near future. I think it’s too late to get it no the November ballot, plus they would probably avoid November 2022 and 2024 and try to fix it like they did this one: a primary or minor vote that is mostly partisan, perhaps another Republican primary coming up.

Rejoice, but stay vigilant. Unfortunately they are going to try again, just from a different direction.

I believe Michigan voted this to their fall ballot too. Wish it were possible for all states to vote pro-choice this fall.

I rather see him alive, in prison.
With his assistants doing time along with him.

OMG! CONGRATULATIONS, KANSAS! I never dreamed that would happen. Now we must all continue to do whatever we can to encourage others to register and vote. Let’s surprise everyone by holding the House and and Senate in November. Incredibly good news!
