What’s particularly effective is that Trump has actually said all this bullshit.

It boggles my mind that anybody would consider him fit for the presidency.

LOL I literally laughed out loud.

Definitely makes no sense. But I know Repubs whose only exposure to Donald was his reality TV show. They know nothing of his history of business failures and racist ideology, and just haven’t been exposed to his narcissistic tendencies when he began appearing in the news in the 1970s. They consider anything negative said about him and his father to be fake news or misinformation peddled by Democrats. The ignorance is exhausting!

LOL. I hadn’t seen that one.

I’m not sure he’s going to make it to the election. Supposedly he is canceling interviews and events because of exhaustion. Couple that with the stres so fall of his impending legal problems and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a stroke or a heart attack. After all, his diet is awful and he isn’t a well man physically or mentally.

If that happened, his supporters would have to decide if they want to vote for Shady Vance for President. He is hugely unpopular with both sides. There is no one in the Republican party who could step in at the last minute and not sure if it was legal. Their best hope was Nikki Haley and they crucified her and then she was stupid enough to bend the knee. Not sure she’d get her supporters back after kissing Trump’s……ring.

      Morning, Mary!

I’ve been saying for months that the October Surprise might be Trump’s death.

      The world will rejoice.

I would expect Haley or Romney to step in.

I don’t like to wish illness on any man (even someone so repugnant)… but I wouldn’t mourn. If that were to happen (and the window for that to happen pre-election is very tight), I think Vance is the only possible legal replacement as candidate…

But what would happen to the votes already cast for *that thing*? would they be tallied for Vance or discarded? it’s a whole kettle of mess that would just slow things down.

I just pray for sensible people to prevail and make the vote clear. My Ballot had 4 “write in” candidates below the D, R, Independent, and Green candidates… so bizarre.

Did some quick research on precedent. Largely hypothetical because it hasn’t happened ever…. If a candidate dies or withdraws between the time of the general election and the electoral college vote, theoretically the candidate’s party can put up another candidate for the elector’s to vote for. If it were to happen after the electoral college vote, the VP elect would become the P elect.

The only time a candidate has passed away between the general and electoral votes, it was Horace Greeley, and he was so far behind in the popular vote that he couldn’t have one anyway. Grant had clearly won so it wasn’t necessary.

I love it. His current mental status is so blatant and I just can’t understand how many people think he is worthy of being President again. This ad shows how he should be handled. He is not our king, he is a very flawed sick man.

If anyone is interested, the republican mayor of Oklahoma City David Holt has written an excellent article on why he can’t vote for trump. It has been published in a Pennsylvania paper.
