Whaddya Think? UPDATE

In my previous post I was wondering if I should, selectively, paint part of the newly green eye the wall color.

Which Melody then photo-shopped! Zounds! Thank you, Melody! Wow!

I think I do like this better. And now I wonder if the flat area between the wide outer ring, and the thin inner ring, should also be the wall color? Or would that start looking too cartoonish (my big fear)?

Yes that other low area should be done. I think that’s what marjie meant in her last post. I think it would look great!

    Hello Ross,

It is so high up, only someone in your yard, really looking closely would see the detail, and it is those observers you want to “WOW” with detail. A little visual gift maybe?

To me, this looks much better. I would be inclined to paint the ring as well, but either way it is striking. Your commitment to detail is amazing!

I would paint the ring as well–it gives the medallion a nice depth.
