You Have a Choice In November

Recently, here in conservative Kansas, voters stunned the nation by resoundingly voting NO to deny women the right to control their own bodies.
The Republican party though is determined to nonetheless control women.
This ad is powerful. But if you think it’s hyperbole…”Oh! That’s not real!”…you are:
- Not paying attention.
- Ignoring that what the ad depicts is already happening.
My stance is simple:
- Don’t believe in abortion? Then don’t have one.
- What you believe should not be forced on others.
- All women should be able to control their own bodies. You know, just as men do

Totally agree. Don’t worry. I am voting Democrat all the way. Here in Nevada, we still have the right to abortion. So far. If Republicans control the House and Senate, a nation-wide ban is in the works. For that and because having Democrats in office is the best way to safeguard the rights too many of us take for granted. I am really concerned about gerrymandering districts, making it harder to vote, and deciding not to certify election results. Got our mail-in ballots yesterday. The two here will be filled in with Democrats and safely deposited. I wish the cat could vote, too.

I can’t vote because I now live in another state. I’ll be rooting for the women of Kansas this election — and every election.
Wow, that was really scary. I am old enough to remember when Roe was passed and I had several friends who sadly and dangerously had backroom abortions, and one who had to quit high school to have the baby…
Thankfully in New York abortions are legal and we welcome people needing abortions. No one “wants” to have an abortion. It is always a sad state of affairs. But there will always be people who need abortions and they must be legal, safe and available.
True blue proud Democrat here. Voting for Kathy Hochul November 8th and straight down the Democratic ticket.
